Course Description : Certified IPC Specialist course is a comprehensive, forty hour, knowledge based course that certifies students to the methods and procedures presented in the J-STD-001 document. Designed for experienced operators, the course helps workers interpret the standard through lecture, demonstration, and labs.

Prerequisites : This course requires the ability to interpret technical information. Because this course is designed to compliment existing solder skills, previous soldering experience is strongly recommended.

J-STD-001xS Space Applications Electronics Addendum :

Course Description : The J-STD-001 S, Space Electronics Hardware Addendum is an optional Module 6 to IPC’s J-STD-001 Instructor and Operator Training & Certification Program. It provides additional requirements over those published in IPC J-STD-001 to ensure the reliability of soldered electrical and electronic assemblies that must survive the vibration and thermal cyclic environments experienced while traveling and operating in space. This 1 day program consists of a lecture which will identify and review each section of the addendum, followed by a single 25 question open book exam. There are no workmanship requirements for this module. The passing level for this optional module is 80%

What Students will receive : Upon successful completion of the program, student will receive:

Sign off that their IPC certification includes the Space Applications Electronics Hardware Addendum

Materials : Students will need pencil and paper for taking notes. All other materials will be provided. Location : Classes will be held at AP Solutions, training facility in Cleveland , Ohio. CIT Recertification- New certificate is the only item that is included in the cost. If a new copy of the standard is needed or a new revision of the training materials is needed then you can order it directly from IPC or you can pay us and we will order it for when you come in. CIS Certification- Tuition includes a copy of the standard and certificate. CIS Recertification- Includes the new certificate only.
